A requisition approval workflow with a chain you set
A job is approved before it opens, by the people you name, in the order you choose. You see who has approved and who is still to, and the history is kept.
How the chain works
- Write the chain once. Stages in order. Each stage says whether all of its approvers must approve or any one of them will do.
- A requisition takes a copy when it is submitted. Changing the chain later does not change what a requisition already waiting is waiting for, and no recorded decision is lost.
- Approvers answer. Approvers are named by email address. Those with an account answer by signing in. The rest answer through a single-use link.
- Every decision is recorded. Approve, reject or ask for changes, with the date and any comment. It is recorded whether the approver signed in or used a link, because a forwarded link and a signed-in session are not the same evidence.
- The job opens. Nothing opens to candidates until the chain has approved it.

- A rejected requisition is closed. Clone it to raise a revised one.
- If an approval request goes to an address outside your organization, you are told, and you can cancel it and correct the approver list.
Offer letters have an approval too
An offer letter is approved by an organization administrator before it is sent. An administrator cannot approve a letter they prepared while another administrator exists.
